Development

AHRD 520: Foundations of Adult Education/Human Resource Development: This course offered an examination into the historical beginning of adult education and human resource development programs to best understand current practices.  Incorporated into this course were current issues and trends, research, legislation and publications.  This class gave me the opportunity to explore my interest in change management, paperless HR and the role of HRD while constructing research.

AHRD 600: Performance Analysis and Needs Assessment in AHRD: This course offered an introduction to the approaches and methods for conducting performance analysis and needs assessment to support the later design and development of HRD interventions.  Our semester long project consisted of creating a 10-point training plan for a client.  As a consultant for the Office of Human Resources at JMU, I was tasked with developing a training solution for an Open Enrollment form conversion from paper to electronic.  Through the completion of numerous analyses I determined a training solution was necessary.
