AHRD 630: Research Methods: This course explored the process of conducting research in education, evaluation of research articles, exploration of research methodologies and composition of a research proposal.  My qualitative case study research will design and develop a change management model for James Madison University incorporating interview data and analytics with theory and application.  The university population will be broken into 5 sampling groups with interview questions focusing on topics such as: Change Communication (Message), Change Vision & Goals, Change Readiness, Change Management, Change Champions, People and Teams, Change Drivers & Barriers, and Change Sustainability.  With a high degree of potential impact, this change model will fill an identified void with higher education change.

AHRD 550: Human Resource Work Experience: This independent study focused on examining the current exit survey process within the Office of Human Resources at James Madison University and providing recommendations based on current best practices, data analytics, and metrics.  Targeted questions were first developed prior to a series of one-on-one interviews conducted with key stakeholders inside and outside of HR including peer institutions within the Commonwealth.  Data was collected and synthesized in conjunction with exit survey research looking carefully at industry best practices and survey examples from other higher education institutions.  After a detailed review of potential solutions, an executive summary report provided a detailed assessment and recommendations moving forward supported by analytics and findings.
